PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- The man accused of stabbing two people in Longview earlier this month is still on the run, but officials say that his vehicle was discovered in Los Angeles on Monday.

Longview police say that the black BMW driven by Alexander Lee Rogers, 51, is being held by LA authorities.

"Video evidence indicates Rogers has also been spotted in the greater Los Angeles area. We are working with law enforcement agencies there to continue the search. LPD detectives are making arrangements to travel to Los Angeles to process the vehicle for additional evidence and assist as needed," said Longview Police Captain. Branden McNew.

Rodgers is suspected of murdering Dawn Peters, 64 and critically injuring Andrew Peters, 73, on Aug. 5.
