SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) — The Massachusetts Department of Public Health said the West Nile Virus was detected in mosquitos near Swansea and Attleboro, according to the Town of Seekonk.

As a result, the Town of Seekonk has raised the risk level for the virus in the area from low to moderate.

The Town of Seekonk is advising residents to using insect repellent, wear long sleeves, and remove standing water near your home.
