KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Several law enforcement agencies combined to make a dozen arrests in a human trafficking counter-trafficking operation in the Northland.
Monday night, the Platte County Sheriff’s Office announced that they, along with the Clay, Clinton and Ray county sheriff’s offices, as well as the Kearney Police Department, teamed up to make 12 arrests in their jurisdiction. The operation happened on Aug. 7 and 8.
“This operation was designed from the beginning to reduce the demand for victimization of victim-survivors of sex trafficking in these communities, connect to and provide critical services and support to these potential victims, and especially deter any suspect attempting to prey upon children who have been enslaved by the commercial sex industry,” said the Platte C
