EVERETT — It’s one of those weeks where weather in the Pacific Northwest can’t seem to make up its mind, with hot weather through Tuesday giving way to cooler temperatures and showers by the weekend.

A heat advisory from the National Weather Service remains in effect until 10 p.m. Tuesday for Snohomish County and portions of Western Washington. Forecasters believe Everett will reach 89 degrees Monday and 91 on Tuesday. In Darrington, the high should climb above 95 degrees on both days.

“This can pose a moderate risk of heat-related illnesses,” said National Weather Service meteorologist Johnny Burg. “Be careful outside, and also check up on those who may be susceptible to the heat.”
