SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – In northern Spartanburg County, as students are returning to class, the district is asking for money to fix aging schools.

Spartanburg School District One voted to put a $140 million bond referendum on the November ballot.

The district will use the money to rebuild T.E. Mabry Middle School in Inman and O.P. Earle Elementary School in Landrum.

The district also plans to add a bigger cafeteria, more classrooms, and a new playground at New Prospect Elementary School in Inman.
