THOMPSON, Conn. (WTNH) — Firefighters from multiple departments worked together to rescue a horse on Monday evening that was stuck in a Quinebaug swamp.

According to officials, the Pomfret Fire Department assisted Quinebaug in what they said was a "successful outcome."

The horse is back at her stable, according to the Pomfret officials.

"A lot of great minds and our specialized horse rescue equipment worked well together for this great outcome," the Pomfret Fire Department said on Facebook.
