It's going to be hot and humid this week. So far, we don't have a heat advisory in effect, but there is an air quality alert for ground-level ozone. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s to low 90s this afternoon. Dewpoints will hover in the mid to upper 60s as opposed to the 70s, so we won't see many heat indices over 100°. A cold front will come through on Wednesday, sparking some pop up thundershowers. But that front will bring down the humidity for the second half of the week.

Tropical Storm ERIN has formed just northwest of the Cabo Verde islands. This storm is still over 3,000 miles away from the U.S. Most models push Erin north of the Lesser Antilles by the weekend. The hope is that Erin will hook around the big Bermuda High and head out to sea.
