It takes strength to reconnect.

Eight days after a six-year-old Elkhart boy died from traumatic injuries allegedly inflicted upon him by his father the grieving attempted to reconnect together. A vigil was held in the shadow of the hospital where the child died.

There was not a dry eye in sight on Monday night’s vigil. Family and friends of the 6-year-old honored his life with balloons.

The vigil took place in the park where the child loved to play.
