ROCKFORD, Ill. (WREX) — The Greater Rockford Chamber of Commerce (GRCC) has released its second quarter (Q2) Business Sentiment Survey, revealing growing confidence in the region's economy. Nearly 90% of local businesses have increased or retained staff in the past year, with 95% planning to do so in the coming year. The survey also noted a 10% increase in businesses rating the regional economy as above average compared to the first quarter.

Angela Kay Larson, CEO of the GRCC, emphasized the resilience of local businesses amid national economic uncertainties. "The Q2 results, when compared to Q1, tell a compelling story of resilience," Larson said. "Our local businesses remain optimistic and continue to invest in their growth."
