LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Ford Motor Company’s announced $2 billion investment in the Louisville Assembly Plant is being hailed as a transformative step for the city’s economy, promising sustainability, job creation, and growth opportunities.

Local leaders say the move will not only bolster Louisville’s manufacturing capabilities but also position the city as a key player in the electric vehicle industry.

“It puts Louisville, Kentucky, on the map as leading in the technology of electric vehicles and also advanced manufacturing,” said Mayor Craig Greenberg.

Metro Councilwoman Betsy Ruhe, who represents the district housing the Ford LAP, pointed to building permit requests as early signs of the investment’s impact.
