NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) is advising drivers that the bridge over Niagara Falls Boulevard on I-190 Southbound will be closed Friday night due to repairs.

The bridge will be closed from 6 p.m. Friday, August 15 to 4 a.m. Saturday, August 16.

The NYSDOT says that drivers will be directed to detour off I-190 at the Niagara Falls Boulevard exit (Exit 22), then will be directed to Connecting Road, and back onto the I-290 on-ramp.

Motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes if possible, NYSDOT will also be altering traffic lights at the intersection of Niagara Falls Boulevard and Connecting Road in an effort to avoid congestion.
