The accent is an immediate giveaway of her Down roots, but Niamh Mallon will always be an adopted daughter of the Tribe after helping Galway to a famous All-Ireland senior camogie title success.

Mallon settled in Galway seven years ago when she started with Orreco, a sports technology company based in the city, but continued to keep the shoulder to the Down camogie wheel.
