(NewsNation) — Country music star Zach Bryan has seemingly put an end to performances in Kansas City amid A beef with fans of its hometown NFL franchise.

The Oklahoman and Philadelphia Eagles fan told a Chiefs fan on X on Friday that he "will never play in Kansas City" again after the user criticized Bryan for goading Kansas City Chiefs fans, "that same fanbase that sells out his shows."

The back-and-forth began when Bryan earlier wrote on X: "Where are all the three peat people from last year," about the Chiefs' pursuit of three successive Super Bowl wins, which was ended by the Eagles in a blowout Super Bowl LIX win in February.

The fan responded angrily, suggesting Bryan was targeting Chiefs Kingdom, the nickname by which Chiefs fans are known.
