A brush fire in Beavercreek drew a quick response from Clackamas Fire District crews Monday in part owing to high temperatures that could have fueled its spread.
The first report of the fire, near South Ridge Road and South Upper Highland Road in Clackamas County, came in at 6:27p.m., said fire district spokesman Izak Hamilton.
A building and nearby vegetation both caught fire, though it’s unclear where the blaze started, Hamilton said.
It was no longer spreading as of 10 p.m., but fire crews remained at the scene to ensure it wouldn’t pick back up again.
