After winning its eighth state championship last year , the Sacred Heart Academy soccer team enters the 2025 season in rebuilding mode.

The Valkyries lost eight starters to graduation off last year’s 24-1-2 squad that beat Lexington Catholic 3-1 in the state final.

The losses included three players who earned All-State first-team honors : Caitlin Chase (Vanderbilt), A.J. Hendrick (Cincinnati) and Lilly Lund (Denver).
