The Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Los Angeles (spcaLA) is seeking foster volunteers to care for dogs, cats, kittens and puppies in recovery, with both long and short-term assignments available, the organization announced.
An in-person foster class is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 16, and applications are available online.
Foster homes can provide a range of support for animals, from caring for nursing mothers and their litters to offering a temporary reprieve from the shelter for stressed pets, or a quiet space for animals healing after medical procedures.
