A large fire erupted after a small plane crashed into multiple parked aircraft at a Montana airport on Monday.

Four people were onboard the single-engine plane when it tried to land at Kalispell City Airport at around 2 p.m. The pilot lost control, crashed onto the runway and hit several other planes, a preliminary investigation showed.

There were no serious injuries in the collision, Kalispell Police Chief Jordan Venezio and the Federal Aviation Administration said. Two passengers were slightly hurt and treated at the airport.

A fire erupted on multiple planes and spread to a nearby grassy area, but was eventually extinguished.

This is a developing story. More to follow.
