It’s the Don of a new era at Seneca Valley, where Don Barclay is a first-year head coach. But there is a most popular other new guy in Pittsburgh, and Barclay knows him fairly well.

Barclay played four seasons as an offensive lineman with the Green Bay Packers. He spent one entire season and part of another on injured reserve with the Packers. The starting quarterback for the Packers during Barclay’s entire tenure: Aaron Rodgers.

Barclay is trying to instill a new culture into Seneca Valley football, and he had some interesting things to say about his team. More about that later. But you can’t spend some time with Barclay and not have some questions about the new guy that Barclay used to help protect.
