The one big thing: Troy Fautanu played just 15 snaps Saturday, but it was his first live game action in nearly a year. Fautanu went down in practice with a season-ending injury between Week 2 and Week 3 in 2024, robbing him of a chance to build on his performance off the bench in the second game at Denver.
So when he took the field against the Jaguars, Fautanu admitted he had some nerves. But the first-team offense was humming with him at right tackle, and he’d be lying if he brushed it off as routine work.
“I wish we were able to get a couple more drives, because it felt like I was getting into a rhythm,” Fautanu said.
You don’t normally hear that from NFL starters, but Fautanu knows he needs the reps. He joked that he wasn’t about to suggest Mike Tomlin leave him in a little longer. T
