LATROBE, Pa. -- The Pittsburgh Steelers should not be without cornerback Jalen Ramsey for much longer, and fellow star Darius Slay’s injury scare at practice on Monday was not severe.
Ramsey has now missed four straight practices and was working off to the side with a trainer. Tomlin said he was day-to-day with a minor issue and is scheduled to practice tomorrow. He is likely to be back in full for Thursday’s joint practice against the Buccaneers.
Meanwhile, Slay appeared to roll his ankle in the corner of the end zone during a “7 shots” drill, which consists of seven plays from the 2-yard line. Whichever side — offense or defense — winds up with the most “wins” is declared the victor.
Slay was attended to by trainers before eventually being able to walk around.
