Tropical Storm Erin formed in the Atlantic on Monday, according to the National Hurricane Center.

As of the 5 a.m. advisory, Erin was located about 490 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands and had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1004 mb.

Erin is moving west at 22 mph, according to the NHC.

There are no coastal watches or warnings in effect as of 5 a.m. Tuesday.
