FAYETTEVILLE -- Benton guard Anthony Spratt Jr. started his week off well by having a conversation with University of Arkansas men's basketball Coach John Calipari, who offered him a scholarship.
"It was a blessing for Coach Cal to see my talent at my age," said Spratt, who was a freshman last season. "I still have more work to do and I'm not stopping.
"He said I was the youngest kid that he offered but I'm mature on the court. He did make sure to say that I have stuff to work on and I have to be way better than I am today in years to come."
Spratt, 6-6 and 190 pounds, played a key role during the Panthers' Class 5A state title run last season. He averaged 12 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists per game while shooting 41% from three-point range and 84% from the free-throw line. He made the
