After just one season with the Denver Nuggets , Russell Westbrook is reportedly on the move again. The veteran point guard declined his $3.4 million player option for next season and officially entered free agency.

Meanwhile, the Sacramento Kings emerged as the betting favorite to land Westbrook . ESPN’s Tim MacMahon also reported that the Kings are the frontrunners in the race for Westbrook’s services. However, the buzz around Sacramento’s interest took a sharp turn when reporter Kevin O’Connor retweeted the news by delivering a pointed critique.

“ Are the Kings secretly trying to tank? ” O’Connor wrote.
