CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The jury trial for a 55-year-old Cleveland woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend to death earlier this year, is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Cuyahoga County Court of Common Pleas.

Sandra Sistrunk was indicted on the charges of murder, tampering with evidence, and felonious assault.

Cleveland Police said Charlie Willis Jr., 58, was murdered at his apartment near E. 81st Street and Euclid Avenue on Jan. 7 at 10:30 a.m.

According to Cuyahoga County Prosecutor Michael O’Malley, Sistrunk went to the apartment, pounded on the door, and screamed to be let inside.

The couple began arguing and Sistrunk stabbed Willis multiple times with a filet knife and then fled the scene, said O’Malley.
