Birmingham City will have to wait to see exactly what they have signed in Marvin Ducksch, following the 31-year-old’s transfer from Werder Bremen.

The striker was a key part of the Werder team which won promotion to the top flight in 2022 and stabilised over several years, to last season challenge for European qualification.

However, as Werder’s team evolved Ducksch became a target for Blues and last week completed a deal that could see him stay at St Andrew’s @Knighthead Park until 2028.

Unfortunately for now the 6ft 2ins centre forward is injured and it might not be until the end of August that we see the former Germany international for the first time.
