Nationwide Building Society members who are yet to receive a £50 bonus payment may have to take action.

The group handed out the £50 payments to more than 12 million members as a thank you gift after it successfully acquired Virgin Money, reports Express.co.uk.

Called the 'Big Nationwide Thank You', most payments were issued directly into bank accounts.

Some of the £50 payments were sent to either into a Nationwide current account, instant access or limited access savings account in your name.

Mortgage customers were sent the payments into the account used to pay their mortgage direct debit.
