Drivers were stuck in huge traffic delays on the M6 after an oil spillage on the major motorway.
Three lanes were shut on the southbound carriageway, between J6 for the A38M, and J5 for Castle Bromwich, for several hours.
Motorists were stuck in gridlock traffic due to a broken down lorry and an oil spillage.

Lane closures on the motorway were having a 'knock-on effect' on major routes in Birmingham .
The Aston Expressway was heavily congested to Dartmouth Circus and the A38 tunnels.
At 6.08pm, National Highways wrote on social media platform X: "Three lanes (of four) remain closed on the M6 southbound between J6, A38M, Aston, and J5 for Castle Bromwich due to a broken do
