ANN ARBOR— Since arriving at Michigan as a freshman, edge rusher Cam Brandt has worked to earn a featured role. Now, it seems his time has arrived.

Michigan defensive coordinator Wink Martindale made clear before the start of preseason camp that Brandt is ready for extended play.

“Really, you can mention TJ, DeMo and Cam as all starters,” Martindale said recently as the Wolverines continue preparations for the Aug. 30 season opener against New Mexico.
