Rafael Nadal and Mery Perelló are playing doubles in parenthood.

The retired tennis champion and his wife of five years are officially parents of two after welcoming their second baby Miquel in the first week of August, his rep confirmed to People .

And while further details about the latest addition to the Nadal-Perelló family have yet to be reveled, according to multiple reports, Miquel was named after Mery’s father who died in 2023 after a brief illness.

Rafael, 39, and Mery, 37—who tied the knot in 2019—are also parents to 2-year-old Rafael Jr .
