The Tigers have had a lot to be proud of this season so far (the past few weeks of mid-tier playing notwithstanding), but one thing they can certainly look to is the improvement of several of their sluggers at the plate. Spencer Torkelson can now count his stats alongside names like Victor Martinez and Miguel Cabrera. Kerry Bonds is having a career-best season. Riley Greene might be a bit streaky, but he has already bested himself in terms of home run numbers and still has six weeks of play time left. (Greene is, in fact, tied for eighth overall on the home run leader board).

This has been a great Tigers team; they just need to turn it around and finish the season as well as it started.
