Based on his performance in Friday’s preseason game, Shedeur Sanders has “earned” the right to “make a push” as the Cleveland Browns’ starter.

So says Marcus Spears, the former NFL defensive end and current ESPN analyst.

Entering Cleveland’s second preseason game against the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles , Sanders is fourth on the team’s QB depth chart behind Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett and Dillon Gabriel, none of whom played in Friday’s 30-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

Sanders, who plummeted to the fifth round of this year’s NFL Draft, opened a lot of eyes around the league by passing for 138 years and two touchdowns with no interceptions in the win.
