GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Green Bay Packers star quarterback Jordan Love underwent surgery on his thumb.
General manager Brian Gutekunst said Love tore a ligament in his left thumb during the first preseason game. Action 2 Sports anchor Dave Schroeder says Love banged his thumb on a helmet when he was sacked on his last snap in the game.
Gutekunst called it a “little procedure” and Love shouldn’t miss any time in the regular season because of it, according to Ian Rapoport. The Packers open the regular season at home against Detroit on Sept. 7.
Love was seen at practice on Monday with this thumb taped. Cover 2 contributor Rob Demovsky says Love should be back participating in practices next week.
