CARBONDALE, Ill. (WSIL) -- Murdale Baptist Church in Carbondale is hosting its 10th bi-annual Great Giveaway, a "free yard sale" aimed at benefiting local community members and students.

The event began in 2005 and has helped people throughout the community.

The Great Giveaway provides an opportunity for community members to receive items they may need at no cost, fostering a spirit of generosity and support within the area.

Items given away include furniture, dishes, electronics, home décor and more.

The event takes place on August 16, from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Murdale Baptist Church, located at 2701 West Main Street, Carbondale. For more information, you may contact the church office directly at 618-529-5800.
