Princess Josephine of Denmark is paving her own path within the royal fold.

The 14-year-old royal, who is the youngest daughter of King Frederik X and Queen Mary, has chosen to enroll in a new school for the upcoming year — marking a dramatic break from tradition.

The Danish Royal House announced Monday that the princess has submitted a personal request to continue her studies at a boarding school in Jutland, Denmark, where she will go into the 8th grade. 6

“HRH Princess Josephine has chosen, at her own request, to continue her education in the 8th grade at Spir Efterskole,” read an official statement from the palace.
