If you missed it Notre Dame was ranked No. 6 in the Associated Press preseason poll that was released yesterday. The Irish were ranked No. 5 in the preseason coaches poll. Miami was ranked No. 10 in both polls.

The quarterback competition is still the big story and you have to wonder if we’ll get an answer this weekend. Redshirt freshman CJ Carr and redshirt sophomore Kenny Minchey are competing for the job. Notre Dame coach Marcus Freeman has a news conference scheduled for Sunday and the team has a scrimmage
