Travis Kelce is sweetly opening up about the parallels between Taylor Swift and Mama Kelce.

In a lengthy GQ profile published on Tuesday, Aug. 12, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed the qualities that he admires in his mom, Donna Kelce, that he also sees in his pop superstar girlfriend.

When asked if there are similarities between the two women, Kelce, 35, said: "Their kindness, their genuineness, their ability to say hello to everyone in the room."

"Their ability to show love and support no matter what. And on top of that, their work ethic. I saw my mother reach goals that she had set for herself, go from being a teller to working all the way up in the KeyBank building," he continued, referring to his mom's banking career.

Kelce added, "I've seen Taylor do the exact same thing of setting goals for herself and exceeding the expectations and really captivating the world in that regard."

Kelce and Swift have been in a relationship since 2023, and his famously supportive mom has previously discussed the qualities the football star and the singer share.

"They're both friendly," she said on "The Martha Stewart Podcast" in 2024, per People. "They're both generous. They're both loving. They're both caring individuals."

Travis Kelce discussed his relationship with Swift throughout the GQ profile, telling the outlet that "whenever I'm with her, it feels like we're just regular people." He continued: "When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love." Kelce added that he and Swift are "two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are."

Kelce's comments come on the same day Swift is set to appear as a guest on the "New Heights" podcast, which the Kansas City Chiefs tight end hosts with his brother, Jason. In a teaser clip from the episode, released shortly after midnight on Aug. 12, Swift revealed the title of her next album: "The Life of a Showgirl."

In the brief clip, Swift, sitting alongside Kelce, pulls out a copy of the album with the cover blurred. "This is my brand new album, 'The Life of a Showgirl,'" Swift says while holding the record. "TS12!" Kelce exclaims, referencing a nickname for Swift's 12th studio album.

The full "New Heights" podcast interview, which will apparently reveal the cover of Swift's album, will be released on Aug. 13 at 7 p.m. ET.
