WATERVILLE, Maine — A Liberty man is facing felony charges after police say he robbed a shoe store Friday evening in Waterville.
Waterville police said they received a report shortly before 7 p.m. on Aug. 8 that a man had stolen an undisclosed amount of money from the Shoe Dept. Encore at 40 JFK Plaza. Store employees provided officers with a description of the suspect and his vehicle.
About 10 minutes later, officers spotted the vehicle on Carter Memorial Drive and conducted a traffic stop. The driver, identified as 58-year-old Kirby Bradford of Liberty, was detained at the scene, according to police.
