(KIMT) -- Look to the sky Tuesday night as the Perseid Meteor Shower will be peaking! We will be blessed with a clear night to be able to see this dazzling show of shooting stars.

The Perseids are active from mid-July to mid-August with a peak occurring overnight from August 12 to August 13. As many as 90 meteors or more per hour could streak across the night sky.

Make sure you are getting far from any major light source (city lights) to have the best viewing possible of this event.
