Leeds United will discover who their Carabao Cup second round opponents will be in a draw taking place this week.

One perk of promotion to the Premier League is that Daniel Farke 's side joins the competition one round later than last season. Teams that participate in the English top-flight but do not have to juggle European duties alongside domestic action are included in the draw for the second round.

The Carabao Cup will be the first piece of silverware on offer in 2026. Whilst Leeds will place a great focus on securing Premier League survival, they will have also been witness to the joy that winning the cup brought Newcastle United last season.

The Magpies ended a 56-year trophy drought when they beat Liverpool at Wembley Stadium back in March.
