It is rare for a team like Northern Arizona soccer to workshop its playing style against the caliber of teams it played last week. The Lumberjacks played two exhibition matches recently at home against Arizona and Arizona State.

After a somewhat disappointing 2024 season, particularly at Lumberjack Stadium, where the team went 1-3-4, NAU had a couple of solid showings against the pair of Big 12 in-state rivals. While the scores of preseason exhibitions are not usually indicators of how the rest of the season will look, the results could tell fans what to expect. ×
