Mayor Monroe Nichols said Tuesday that he is aware of a comprehensive phone and text survey being conducted to assess Tulsans' appetite for raising millions of dollars in tax revenue to improve public safety, address homelessness and tackle other city challenges but that the city is not conducting or funding it.
"The mayor is aware of the survey and looks forward to understanding the perspectives of the broader community," a city spokesperson said. "This year’s city budget focused on priorities that will continue to be the practice of the city as evidenced by the recently announced $6 million to house and support 300 Tulsans experiencing homelessness, the creation of the Office of Children, Youth and Families, the upcoming investment in affordable hou
