It's no shocker that Ken Jennings is a lifelong Jeopardy! fan.
However, long before he succeeded the late Alex Trebek as the host of the iconic TV game show, the trivia champion admitted he didn't love one of the series' most notable segments: The contestant interviews.
"So, I have to admit," Jennings—who was joined by fellow Jeopardy! champ Amy Schneider —revealed on the Aug. 10 episode of the Lovett or Leave It podcast, "as a kid I found the Jeopardy! interviews so cringey that I would leave the room. That's my Jeopardy! origin story."
In fact, Jennings thinks the guest Q&A portion, which always takes place after the first commercial break, isn't what the prize-hungry hopefuls signed up for.
