The Indiana Fever will present Hall of Famer Lin Dunn with the franchise’s first-ever Inspiring Women Award during halftime of game against the Dallas Wings on Aug. 12.

Simultaneously, the team will announce that future presentations of the award will bear Dunn’s name, becoming the Lin Dunn Inspiring Women Award.

The double-edged honor recognizes Dunn’s trailblazing 55-year career in women’s basketball, her role as the Fever’s winningest coach and architect of their 2012 WNBA championship and her enduring impact on the sport and countless individuals. The ceremony is the centerpiece of the Fever’s “Inspiring Women Night.”
