ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — David Johnson was sentenced to 12 years in prison Tuesday for first-degree assault after setting his wife on fire in August 2019.
The sentencing took place in Monroe County Court, marking the end of a nearly six-year ordeal for the victim, Shenetta Reed.

Reed described the incident as "horrific" and "unexplainable," emphasizing the lasting impact on her and her family.
