Ottawa well-system users asked to cut water consumption

The South Nation Conservation Authority’s Level 2 low-water declaration on Aug. 12 followed a similar announcement by the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority on Aug. 8.

Some rural Ottawa residents who use well systems are being asked by the city to voluntarily reduce their water consumption. Article content

This comes after the South Nation Conservation Authority declared a Level 2 Low Water Condition within the South Nation River Watershed on Aug. 11, affecting areas of municipal wards including Gloucester-South Gate, Orléans South-Navan, Osgoode and Riverside South-Findlay Creek.
