A 6-year-old boy who died after he was hit with a piece of farming equipment in Lancaster County died from a traumatic head injury, according to the coroner’s ruling released Tuesday
The coroner ruled the child’s death accidental. The boy’s name was not included in the news update.
The accident was reported around 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 7, in the area of Cherry Hill Road in Paradise Township.
When police arrived, investigators determined a six-year-old and a 14-year-old boy were in a skid steer cleaning a barn. Police said the six-year-old tried to get out of the machine, while the teen lowered the machine’s arms, hitting the six-year-old in the head.
