With cheerleaders lining the track and football players standing behind the balloons and the ribbon, school leaders officially cut the ribbon on Rio Linda High School's newly renovated Marion Adams Memorial Stadium on Tuesday morning.
"It's amazing. It's a great complex," said Diedre Barlow, Rio Linda High School's principal.
The $2.7 million renovation includes new turf, a new track and a new scoreboard.
The renovations also come as former state champion football coach Jack Garceau returns to lead the Knights football team this season.
"It's a lot, you know what I mean? So, I've been here since 2001 and to see everything that's changed from that point in time to now is [a] night and day difference. Our kids really have something to be proud of," Garceau said.
