Aaron Judge is still progressing through his throwing program, but his return to the outfield is getting closer and closer.

Aaron Boone said Tuesday that it’s “possible” that Judge, nursing a right flexor strain , will return to right field during the Yankees’ upcoming weekend series in St. Louis. Nothing is set in stone, though.

Earlier in the day, the manager told the Talkin’ Yanks podcast that he’s hopeful Judge will take that step at some point during the Bombers’ upcoming road trip, which also takes them to Tampa.

“The throwing program seems to be going well. He seems to be improving each time, so we’ll see” Boone said of Judge, who has strictly been DH’ing since returning from his injury on Aug. 5.
