Justice Center/Public Safety committee was first to meet. Jaron Dowalter of Bur-Wil Construction provided an update on the ongoing Justice Center project.
At last month’s committee meeting, Dowalter said at that time that his firm was looking at “substantial completion” at the end of August.
He said that a “small hiccup” has happened to extend the substantial completed date further into September.
A waste management company came to pick up a trash dumpster and ended up hitting the electronic gate in the area where the dumpster is kept.
“That was kind of a kick in the gut to the contractor,” Dowalter said. “Insurances are involved trying to get this (gate) fixed and approved as quickly as possible. (We), as a county will not accept substantial completion without this essential system as
