BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - A Bryan RV park with a decades-long history in the community could be ordered to close by the end of the month, as city officials say ongoing safety hazards cannot be addressed while residents remain on site.

Roadrunner RV Park, located in the 3100 block of East Villa Maria Road, is scheduled for an August 28 closure. City inspectors say exposed wiring, unsafe utility hookups, structural hazards, and debris make much of the property unsafe to occupy.

Records show Bryan police have responded to more than 230 calls at the park since 2011. The city has also documented multiple fires, including a 2018 incident that damaged the main electrical panel and caused a park-wide power outage. Officials said no electrical or building permits were filed for some past fire repairs
